I have been living in Ocala for about six months now and have been looking for fun stuff to do. My family and I are very outdoorsy so being so close to the Ocala National Forest we do a lot of hiking, fishing, hunting, exploring, canoeing, and paintball (which in the woods is awesome). However, we were looking for more of an activity to get more involved in the community. With us being here for a short period, we only have made friends with work associates and members of our church.
How I discovered a hidden gem in Ocala came from an unlikely source. I run an ecommerce business that sells unique lamps on Ebay, Etsy, and Amazon. I wanted to grow my business so I contacted an Ocala SEO marketing company which goes by the name Seek Easy Online Marketing and is led by Annie Pearce. While we were discussing my business and how to grow it, we started talking about Ocala. Annie informed me that Ocala is famous for being the thoroughbred capital of the world and many Triple Crown Winners were bred and raised in Ocala. I asked what she enjoyed doing in Ocala and she told me about Ocala’s Art Walk.
The Ocala Art Walk is held the first friday of every month. Of course when Annie told me this it was the middle of the month, so I had to wait a couple of weeks. I almost missed it but Annie called me to give me my monthly SEO reports and asked if I was going. It’s held from 6-9 pm – I know, only three hours! If you’re not a prepared person you will miss a good chunk of the art and have to wait another month till you can go again. The artists stand nearby their art so that you can ask any questions. Most of the work I saw was original and fairly priced. I picked up a beautiful portrait of a thoroughbred for only a little over $100. The artist and I spoke for a great length telling me how he has spent his entire life in Ocala, and had been all over the world, but nothing quite like Ocala.
The Art Walk is also themed depending on the time of the year. I can’t wait for Christmas to see what they do. The Art Walk is also centered around the Ocala Historical district. The homes are beautiful and the walk is peaceful. It’s the perfect environment. You will meet mostly locals, which is exactly why we wanted to be a part of it. We will never miss a single friday again.
I would not have even known about this event without Annie Pearce, so I will give her a plug. If your business is in need of Online Marketing, you need to speak to this woman. She took my company which was grossing $30,000/mo and grew it to $98,000 within 6 months. You can check her out here:
